Tuesday Reading

October 13, 2009

Lots to do around the office today before I hit the road with the team for six days, so here’s some Thrashers-related reading to keep you busy for a little while:

The Thrashers didn’t practice today but did have off-ice workouts and (presumably) meetings. They’ll be back on the ice tomorrow and Thursday before flying to New Jersey on Thursday afternoon.

Hopefully to discuss the other guys employment of the “Trap”, and the importance of NOT falling behind early while contending w/ it. Suspect other teams will employ the same “score early…. flood the Neutral zone” strategy as the Sens. We must come out strong early to negate that aspect of it.

As a fan, waiting this long between games is getting frustrating–to say the least. Here’s a bit of trivia: before the Thrashers play game number four, four other teams in the league will have completed their seventh game. Having gone to the home opener and been generally impressed with the quality of the game, it feels like the long delay is disturbing the momentum. Do other teams have these long breaks in the schedule and are those breaks coming up soon for other teams?

I was very interested to read the comparison of the goalies. Now tell me why he is here and ML is playing for the Wolves and not here?
